Boasting an overall record of 96-14, two-time state champion Cheyenne Cruce enters her senior year with some new bling presented at halftime of Middleburg football's preseason classic.
Let's take a look at how she got here. During her freshman year, Cruce posted an overall record of 25-14, finishing 4th at the FHSAA state tournament. She also claimed an All-American at the 16U Freestyle Nationals in 2022.
Fast-forward one year Cheyenne improved her season record to a flawless 39-0. In a dominant season on the mat, Cruce did not concede a single offensive point all season, capping it all off with Middleburg's first girls wrestling state champion.
Exactly one year later, Cruse found herself in a similar season as a year prior. Dominating with a season record of 32-0 and a second consecutive state title. But she would also go on to claim runner-up at NHSCA Nationals.
As she was presented with her newest hardware on Friday evening, the final chapter to Cheyenne Cruces historical career remains to be written.
